Calipers:

• 4 piston 4WD-specific Forza Motorsport calipers designed for on AND off-road use. Cast iron (not alloy) for maximum off-road durability.

• ⚠️ No external fluid transfer pipes that can be damaged and lead to brake failure! This is so important on vehicles venturing off-road, where rocks and other debris can enter the wheel! ⚠️

• 48mm piston size designed specifically to use the standard, non-4.8L master cylinder. It can also be used with the 4.8L master cylinder without issue.

• Takes a common Toyota pad shape for widespread availability. These are, however, not Toyota calipers, which have pistons too big for the Y61 master cylinder and ABS system.

• Direct bolt-on, no modification or brackets required. Banjo bolt and knuckle bolts both have the correct thread (manufactured, not modified)!

• Piston seals (fluid and dust) are factory Y61 (non-4.8L caliper) for ease of rebuilding.

• Takes a standard Patrol brake line. Not included as often braided lines to suit a particular suspension lift already fitted to the vehicle.


Rotors:

Straight from Forza's motorsport line of rotors, proven for over a decade in top-level motorsport, including the Australian Rally Championship, TCR Australia, Saloon Car and Formula 3! Rotors designed specifically for the Patrol upgrade:

• High carbon metallurgy:

- Optimal thermal conductivity.
- Improved heat dissipation.
- Inherently high resistance to distortion and thermal cracking.
- Lower rotor wear.
- Reduced levels of brake judder and noise from increased damping capacity.

• 48 Directionally curved vanes:

- Improved cooling with higher airflow as the rotor acts as a centrifugal pump.
- Improved strength and resistance to cracking compared to a pillar-constructed rotor.
- Smoother entry and exit of airflow through the rotor.

• Heat-treated castings:

- Prevents deformation.
- Strengthens the bonds between the molecules.
- Relieves stresses induced by the casting process.

• 10 Forward-facing curved slots:

- Superior modulation and control.
- Lower overall disc and pad wear.
- The best balance between initial response and longevity.
- Slots are only placed where the pad sweeps, helping eliminate uneven rotor/pad wear.

• Two-piece floating design:

- Lighter - less unsprung weight - improved handling, steering and braking.
- Less heat soak into the wheel bearings.
- Floating (not bolted!) two-piece design prevents pad knock-off and soft brake pedal on rough roads.
- Better performing and quality rotor than single-piece options.
- Replaceable discs. Hats are hard anodised and will never need to be replaced unless damaged.
- Sprung bobbin to eliminate the rattle common on full-race setups.

• Superior finish

- Zinc/Aluminium coating prevents rust in the slots and unswept area, maximising aesthetics and preventing pad material build-up in the slots for improved long-term performance.
- Thermal marking paint to monitor peak rotor temperature.

FP3 pads:

- 0-850°C operating range.
- Initially developed as the ultimate street and track pad for road cars, the FP3 quickly found its place as the perfect 4WD pad given similar performance requirements.
- Good initial bite when cold, increases predictably as temp increases for added confidence.
- Good rotor wear and relatively good dust from its ceramic compound.


Fits all Y61 GU/GR, including TB48.

Kit requires 17" rims in most cases; however some 16" rims are known to clear. Message us for more details.
